Requesting a Workshop
Workshops are free for MSU-affiliated groups. For off-campus MSU-affiliated workshops, we may require that expenses for travel, meals, and lodging be provided. Workshop requests from NON-MSU-affiliated groups will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Complete requests at least 3 weeks in advance. Please be prepared to consider alternate dates if facilitators are not available for your preferred date.
All QuILL Workshop participants must complete the QuILL Web Course with a 100% score on the QuILL Quiz before they may attend the workshop. The QuILL Quiz may be taken as many times as necessary. There is no time limit. Go to lbgtrc.msu.edu for information on accessing and completing the web course. QuILL Workshop facilitators will confirm completion of the web course before check-in for the workshop. Those who have not completed the web course may not be permitted to attend.
Workshop host is responsible for securing location and technology (LCD projector, screen, computer with internet, ample wall space for poster paper), identifying and providing ADA related accommodations (and communicating those accommodations to the LBGT Resource Center when appropriate), and assuring that participants complete the web course before the workshop. Hosts are responsible for assuring the LCD and computer are powered, connected, and projecting at least 30 minutes before the training begins. Training room must be accessible to facilitators at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the workshop. Attendees are expected to arrive, register, and be ready to begin at the scheduled start time. If fewer than 50% of anticipated participants are not present at the scheduled start time, the event may be rescheduled. Persons arriving after the scheduled start time may not be permitted to participate.
The LBGT Resource Center QuILL facilitators will bring all instructional materials. Facilitators will manage registration beginning at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled workshop start time.
Participants who appropriately complete and submit a QuILL Action Plan at the end of the workshop will be mailed a QuILL Certificate. The certificate will be valid for 4 academic years.
