As the Director of Michigan State University's Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transgender Resource Center, Brent collaborates across the institution to create an affirming climate for LBGT students in areas related to university policy, campus-wide LBGT education, student leadership development and advocacy. As a scholar, his research interests include transgender student identities and genderism; LBGT student leadership and identity development; and multiple oppression across race/ethnicity, class, gender identity, nationality, disability and sexual orientation. Lisa Lees

Lisa has worked in several units around campus since she came to MSU in 1985. She has a BA in philosophy and an MS in computer science (minors in psychology) from schools in Missouri, has taught computer science and stage makeup, can type 55 words per minute and is bold by design. Lisa takes care of office matters and maintains the LBGTRC website. Long ago (1995) Lisa helped start and facilitate the first trans support group at MSU. Off campus Lisa is an artist, writer, photographer and theater person. She reads French and is learning Japanese. Her MSU web page leads to her other websites and contains an unretouched photo. Jordan Furrow

Jordan is a second year student in the Master's of Social Work Program. Although originally from Riverside, California, Jordan went to MSU for his undergraduate education as well, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Relations from MSU's James Madison College. Upon finishing his graduate studies, Jordan hopes to use his MSW degree to continue to work for social justice in solidarity with people and communities struggling against systemic oppression. Michelle is a senior majoring in psychology. She is a student leader in both the Alliance of LBGT Students and SGL SOCIAL.

 
Michelle works in the Center at various times during the week.
